Colpey Calling x The Fix [8]

28th May 2015

This week we welcomed the incredible Berlin-based Marlais with an exclusive mix. Coming to our attention earlier this year with the superb Dreams of Jarvis EP, we just had to get him onto Colpey Calling x The Fix to showcase his ethereal mix of folk, electronica, ambient and drone.

With a combination of William Blake, Robert Mitchum and Ravi Shankar, we’re not quite sure if we’ve ever heard anything like it before.

The mix is a blend of folk music from various traditions and some more ambient or drone oriented bits. Some nature sounds help tie things together. It is probably best that you are listening to this alone or in the dark. I would like it to act as some sort of soundtrack to an hour in your life.
