The world’s first ensemble of virtuoso musicians with disability joins forces with the hottest young orchestra in the UK, the Southbank Sinfonia, in this one-off concert to perform the world premiere of Lloyd Coleman’s Towards Harmony.

The British Paraorchestra is perhaps best known for its collaborative performance with Coldplay at the closing ceremony of the Paralympic Games in 2012, as well as its rendition of the Paralympic anthem, which broadcaster Jon Snow called “spellbinding and beauteous”. In addition to the new piece, the ensemble will also bring its own unique take on Corelli’s La Folia in this part-improvised performance.

Founder Charles Hazlewood conducts and the evening will also feature appearances by special guests including Goldfrapp’s Will Gregory.
