We know what it’s like – you go to a festival, you’re a little bit drunk perhaps, you’re wandering around and catching all different kinds of acts and at the end of the day it can often be like, “That what-do-you-call-em? were good, um, you know the… Nope, I don’t have a clue what their name is…” Having created the programme for this year’s Godney Gathering we promised to have pages for each stage on The Fix that gives you a link to find those acts again. Of course, The Gathering juxtaposes huge acts like UB40 with those on their way up and perhaps just starting out, which is all fair and good and we wouldn’t have it any other way, though actually finding information on them proves to be difficult. None more so than on the acts in the Silent Disco tents. But we’ve done our best so we present to you our best efforts…

Founder of Laid Blak, a Bristol Urban collective of musicians who are highly renowned having played alongside Ed Sheeran, John Legend and Public Enemy, DJ Bunjy is one of the most sought after DJs in Bristol with DNB, hip hop, reggae and R&B intertwined in his sets.
This cool lady also hails from Bristol and brings drum n bass and jungle and has been flying the flag for it since 1992. She’s the co-founder of the new legendary Ruffneck Ting label alongside Markee Substance from Kosheen.
A blend of old school disco, funk and house, 2Drunk2Funk offers up a concoction of remixes and his own produced tracks. One release, “The Change Is Coming,” is a funky house track that features President Obama’s victory speech. Innovative.
Local band UKID is one of the more revolutionary music acts on The Gathering’s line-up this year with a unique style that fuses rock, drum & bass and hip hop. Their appearance in the silent disco domes shall be an interesting experiment.
View from the Beach are a DJ / producer collaboration specialising in anything with a beat. Established late in 2011, DJ MCS and DJC are gathering momentum and a following with their eclectic fusion of musical genres and breathtaking live sets. Yes, that was a cut and paste from Facebook.
Down from up Bristol way, on Facebook the short description says ‘The Turntable Terrorist’ with house being the genre of his choosing in Godney.
From 2007 as an enthusiastic crate digger, Lisa Mae scoured small, obscure record shops to accumulate stack after stack of vinyl. With a love of progressive beats, soul drenched vocal house, goose bump inducing classics, trance and spirit lifting funk, Lisa Mae’s diverse sets have secured her residencies throughout Bristol, Cardiff and Dubai.

This year’s Godney Gathering sold out so to avoid disappointment for next year you should keep an eye on thegodneygathering.com as tickets for 2016’s Gathering will go on sale in December 2015.
