Glastonbury FM – 24 Hour Show – Saturday 30th November

GFM1071Glastonbury FM will continue their fundraising effort on Saturday 30th November with a grueling 24-hour sponsored show on the agenda as they aim to seal their move into Glastonbury’s Red Brick Building. Hosted by Ian Liversidge (Thursday Live, Monday Sports Drive Through), Becky Clarke (The Happy Show) and Christina Walker, the show will begin at 9am and run through to 9am on the following Sunday. Although they will be linking in many other GFM shows and their presenters along the way, Ian, Becky and Christina will stay on air for the duration. On this action packed marathon show they will cover the Frost Fayre (see page x), a local sports match, the Pop Up Café at the Red Brick Building, an arts event and much more. It will be a day where presenters and guests will be rolling in and out of the station with plenty of surprises popping up all day long. There will also be competitions and auctions running throughout the 24-hour show.

It’s going to be a testing day for the three main presenters so strong coffee will be at the ready to help them make it through the night and into Sunday morning. Hopefully their efforts will be worth it as funds will be raised by local businesses sponsoring each of the 24 hours and the presenters will have found their own individual sponsors. Furthermore local people and businesses can have web links posted on the GFM website and their Facebook and Twitter pages in exchange for a donation, which is a fantastic promotional opportunity because the station has a huge online audience! So, why not tune in on Saturday 30th November and show your support to Glastonbury FM? The local community station links in and supports a wide range of groups and individuals in the Glastonbury and Street area and the move into a permanent studio in Glastonbury’s Red Brick Building will enable them to keep on doing so. Listen in, take part and help them achieve their goal. Glastonbury FM can be found on 107.1FM or you can listen live on glastonburyfm.co.uk. You can also listen via the Tune In radio app.
