Bicep – “Satisfy (John Talabot Alt Mix)” (2014)
The alternative mix from John Talabot of Bicep’s Satisfy – this one isn’t available on 12″ but is free to download via Bicep’s bandcamp. A beautiful tribal house jam that blows my mind! It’s not rushed over the 7 odd minutes, a melodic track with lush chords and stabby synths. September is a month of the last festivals, Ibiza closing parties and warm sunsets – this track fits perfectly with all of this!Best Track You’ve Never Heard
A.R. & Machines – “Shones Babylon” (1971)
This track is one hell of a trip. The haunting intro makes way for a guitar driven track that immediately sweeps you off your feet. However, unlike similar krautrock tracks from this era the ferocity of the guitar doesn’t get tiresome, as the second half of the track transforms into a slower affair, with a slight american west coast vibe to it- sunset jams! The diversity of track does not seem disjointed or forced – it all fits together nicely to create a perfect trip!
