Strode Live Presents: Unstripped and Semi Acoustic – Holy Trinity Church, Street – Thursday 3rd April

The New Wave - The Musicians Of Strode College

The New Wave – The Musicians Of Strode College

Strode Live ‘Stripped and Semi-Acoustic’ is an event organised by the extended diploma level three music students at Strode College in Street, Somerset. Students are given the challenge of putting on the event as part of their events management modules and provides the opportunity for these talented musicians to learn the ins and outs of putting on their own music showcase, which of course will aid them moving forward. Neighbouring town Glastonbury’s very own local community radio station, GFM will be the beneficiary of all profits made as the students want to support the community radio station that does so much to promote music in and around the mendip area. Below: Former student Lee Rahn at last year’s event: Previously called ‘Unplugged,’ this event has been hugely popular and successful in each of the last two years with all the seats being filled in the beautifully mellow setting of the Holy Trinity Church, which is located opposite the college. As a result it’s become a regular fixture in the local gig calendar and this year there will also be performances from special guests Jorden Lindsay from Yeovil, and Alex Brian from Ashcott. Jordan and Alex are both successful graduates of the music course and return to join the new wave of talent fresh off the back of performing around Europe. So, we at The Fix are looking forward to attending what should be a fantastic concert that has an appeal to all ages, encompassing different styles and arrangements and including lots of original material. If you fancy joining us there then find out entry details below. Tickets available on the door at The Holy Trinity Church, Street and from the Strode College Shop located at the main entrance (both on Church Road, Street, BA16 0AB. Suggested donation prices are: Adult – £5, Child – £4, Senior Citizen – £4, Strode College Students/Staff – £3 And to get a preview of what’s to come listen on the following links: Strode College Music on Reverbnation and YouTube  Jorden Lindsay on Reverbnation For more information about this event contact the Strode Live student team c/o Daniel Shaw: dshaw@strode-college.ac.uk or 01458 844406
